ACA 2.0 - The Moving Target

Human resources professionals have taken on a variety of new responsibilities to enact the Affordable Care Act (ACA) at their credit unions efficiently and in full compliance. They have helped to develop new processes and procedures for ensuring that insurance plans provide all required, appropriately priced benefits to eligible employees, that staff understand their individual responsibilities under the law and their role as health care consumers, and that the credit union adheres to new recordkeeping and reporting standards based on number of employees. Adding to the complexity of implementing health care reform is the need to keep pace with a steady stream of new and revised provisions.
